FAQ

Straight answers for schools.

The questions every school asks before working with a recruiter, answered the way we'd answer them across your desk.

How much do your services cost?
Nothing until you hire. We work on contingency: our fee is due only when your new teacher signs and starts. The exact fee depends on the role and search scope and is agreed in writing before we begin, so there are never surprises.
What if a placement doesn't work out?
Every placement comes with a 30-day replacement guarantee. If the teacher leaves or is let go within the first 30 days, we find a replacement at no additional cost.
How fast can you deliver candidates?
For most roles, a vetted shortlist of 2–4 candidates within 2–3 weeks. For urgent or mid-year openings, we can often present candidates already in China within days. We'll always give you an honest timeline up front rather than overpromise.
How do you vet candidates?
Five gates, no exceptions: a personal interview with our founder, document verification (degree, teaching certificates, TEFL/TESOL, background check), work-visa eligibility confirmation, reference checks with previous schools, and a full briefing on your school before the candidate meets you.
Are your candidates legally employable in China?
Yes. We only present candidates who qualify for a legal work visa, and we verify the relevant documents before you ever see a profile. The visa application itself is sponsored and handled by your school. In China that's always the employer's role, and we keep it that way. After the hire, we stay available to the teacher for communication and settling-in questions, so small problems never become your problems.
Which cities do you cover?
We're based in Beijing and know its school landscape best, but we regularly work with schools across China. For schools outside Beijing, everything runs the same way over WeChat and video.
What types of roles do you fill?
English language arts, English literature and reading, kindergarten and early years, primary and secondary subject teaching, ESL/EAL specialists, and academic coordinators, across international schools, bilingual schools, kindergartens, and training centers.
Do teachers pay you anything?
Never. Our fees are paid entirely by schools. This keeps our incentives aligned with yours and gives us access to the widest possible candidate pool. The best teachers avoid recruiters who charge candidates.
Why not just use one of the big platforms or job boards?
Job boards give you volume and leave the vetting to you: hours of screening, interviews with visa-ineligible candidates, and offers that fall through. Our model is the opposite. You invest one short conversation, then meet only candidates who are verified, eligible, and briefed on your school.
How do we start?
Send us a message on WeChat or through the contact page. A 15-minute conversation about your role is all we need to begin a search.
