Free educational materials for teachers, by teachers
At Eastbound, we believe that quality education shouldn't come with a price tag. Too many companies are building amazing worksheets, teaching guides, and learning resources—then locking them behind paywalls.
We're different. We think knowledge should be accessible to everyone. That's why we're building a library of free teaching resources that any teacher, parent, or educator can use—no subscription, no paywall, no catch.
Because when we all work together to lift each other up, everyone benefits. Especially the kids.
We're building the most comprehensive library of free ESL teaching resources on the web. Whether you're a seasoned teacher or just starting out, we want to equip you with the tools you need to help your students succeed.
What are Dolch Sight Words?
Dolch Sight Words are the most common words in English that appear frequently in reading materials. Created by Edward William Dolch in 1936, these 220 words make up up to 80% of the words children encounter in their early reading materials.
Unlike phonetic words that can be sounded out, sight words need to be recognized instantly by memory. Words like "the," "said," "was," and "come" don't follow obvious phonetic rules, so learning them through memorization and practice is essential for reading fluency.
Our worksheets are designed with all of this in mind. Each worksheet includes space to copy the words and fill-in-the-blank sentences to reinforce learning in context.
All worksheets are free to download and print. Each set is organized by difficulty level, from Pre-Primer (easiest) to Grade 3 (most challenging).
We're working on Phonics resources, Vocabulary builders, Grammar guides, and more. Check back regularly!
